INSPIRATION: This house was a renovation which can create challenges. However I had a clear vision for the home redesign and I believed we could achieve the beautiful modern farmhouse style property that I envisioned. My intention was to create a beautiful home which recognised the rich history of farms and farming in the area.

TARGET MARKET: Farmers in the area and older landowners that were now wanting to move off large land and have a beautiful home that was much easier to manage and more accessible to the township. Something that wasn’t contemporary and too modern that they could move into and still have a feeling of the farmhouse.

LOCATION: Flinders has always been a very popular destination for people to enjoy the lifestyle it offers. It has been until the last 10 years a village full of mostly older style beach shacks. It has now turned into the coastal destinations for luxury architects and builders to show off their capabilities where the end value of the home is not restricted by the demographic you are selling to.

DESIGN INTENT: To create a home that was in keeping with the style of a traditional Flinders farmhouse, but take it to a level of quality and style that was in keeping with the Bennett Williams brand. A home that people would fall in love with. I loved the feeling of light bright spaces that reflected the modern sense of quality that I was seeking whilst maintaining the old farmhouse warmth. I love the pool and pool house too. Amazing modern spaces and features that don’t detract from essence of the home but make it extremely liveable.
